Parallel Twin Screw Barrel
Introduction
The working principle of the parallel twin screw extruder is to push the material forward, mix, plasticize and extrude through two parallel screws rotating in the barrel. The rotation direction of the two screws is the same, but the thread direction is opposite, which allows the material to form a complex flow trajectory in the barrel, thus achieving efficient mixing and plasticizing effects.
During the working process, the material is added to the barrel from the feeding port and is continuously pushed forward by two screws. With the rotation of the screw, the material is subjected to shearing, extrusion and friction, and gradually heats up, melts and plasticizes. At the same time, through the control of the heating and cooling system, the material can be processed at a suitable temperature. Finally, the plasticized material is extruded from the head to form the desired product shape.
